Welcome to Tons of Tea!

Whether you're looking for basic tea information, health benefits, brewing info or something else we have it.

We aspire to be your resource for all things tea related:

  • Health Benefits – Tea is a very healthy beverage. It is the second most consumed liquid on the face of the earth after water. However, the consumption of this drink is actually higher in other places than the United States.
  • Brewing Information – The several varieties have their own ways to be brewed. Some like to be steeped longer, some like a shorter steeping time and some have to be at different temperatures depending on the desired taste.
  • Black Tea – Black tea is probably the most popular variety and is the most oxidized. It must be noted that many black teas are of lower quality and are more plentiful, therefore lending them a lower selling price and being generally more affordable for the consumer.
  • Green Tea – Green tea is really a big time media darling as of late with people such as Oprah touting the immense health benefits. While it is true that this type has some great benefits it's definitely not the most healthy blend of tea. Mainly consumed in Asia, this is a very popular type.
  • Herbal Tea – Herbal teas aren't really teas at all. They're normally made from flowers and other blends of that nature. Some of these are tremendously healthy and can be quite tasty!
  • Oolong Tea – Oolong tea is in between black and green and is one of our favorites! Ti Kuan Yin is a very popular kind that is produced in Taiwan or China.
  • Pu-erh Tea – Puerh is one of the more esoteric varieties of tea that is normally produced in Yunnan China and is quite the connoisseurs delight.

And all of the other remaining types of tea can be found on this site. Thanks for visiting Tons of Tea!
